A striking son of Texas’ 2nd leading lifetime sire Naevus, out of the winning mare Four O’clock Post, this full brother to Stakes winner Guacamole is being offered for syndication by On the Mark Racing. A chestnut colt that stands a lot of ground with excellent confirmation was a recent stand out at the 2007 Fasig - Tipton Texas Summer Yearlings Sale. “He clearly stood out at the sale and was an exceptional and balanced individual”, says Jack Shelton of the recent purchase of the colt.

From the last crop of Naevus, ( Mr. Prospector ) who has produced such notable Stakes winners as King Glorious (G1), Bruho (G3), Green Perfume (G2) The Barking Shark, One Won One, Kuma, Nuclear Assembly, Guacamole, and recent stakes winner General Naevus. Naevus has produced 4% stakes winners (31 stakes winners) and 13% stakes runners lifetime. Naevus has the ability to produce any type runner, from graded stakes horses on the dirt and turf; to runners who can excel as sprinters or can get the classic distances. Sons of Mr. Prospector with Regal Classic mares have produced 7% SW including G3 winner Smart N Classy.

Four O’clock Post (Regal Classic) has produced 4 winners to date including two winners of over $100,000 and a full brother and winner of over $80,000 in Guacamole. While her offspring have generally been sprinters, Four O’clock Post had produced runners who could win at the mile distance and runners who won as 2 year olds.

With classic influences by such notable sires as Bold Ruler, Nashua, Mr. Prospector, Tom Fool, Northern Dancer, Nearctic, Vice Regent and Vaguely Noble he should have the ability to carry a distance of ground going two turns.

Regal Classic, currently 46th on the Broodmare Sire list is the broodmare sire of Four O’clock Post. Regal Classic, a Champion 2YO colt in Canada is a sire of 40 Stakes winners. Vice Regent, sire of Regal Classic got 15% Stakes winners. The Barking Shark (c. Vice Regent) 7 wins 2 to 7, $555,341 was bred along similar lines. Vice Regent a son of the immortal sire Northern Dancer generally passes on his large size and scope to his offspring and this colt is no exception as Vice Regent’s influence is seen here in the scope and size of this colt.
